If Christ Knocked On Your Door…
If Christ Knocked on your door, would you answer? If Christ knocked on your door and said follow me, would you follow? If Christ knocked on your door, how long would it take you to pack? If Christ knocked on your door, how much luggage would you bring? One suitcase? Two suitcases? Golf clubs? A carry on?
If Christ knocked on your door, would you leave your house? Your job? And your car? If Christ knocked on your door, would you leave your family? If Christ knocked on your door, would you leave your friends? Would you leave your pets? If Christ knocked on your door and said let’s go to heaven, would you drop everything to fit through the eye of a needle?
If Christ knocked on your door, and said, “Matthew, welcome to the Kingdom of Heaven. We either walk or we fly here. If you don’t know how to fly like an angel, then you will be walking until you figure out where our wings come from and how to fly.”
Who would leave their brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, fathers and daughters to walk in the light of Christ? Cars don’t exist in heaven, so you either have to fly or walk, so you will have to carry everything you need to go to heaven. Do you see how quickly your possessions shrink from a house and car to a backpack? Do you see the parable of the camel and the eye of the needle? If you want to fly, you have to fit in the eye of a needle. Until you are that “light” in Christ, you will walk until you learn how to walk on water, and then we’ll teach you how to fly. Do you see why only a few may enter the Kingdom of Heaven? Are you ready to enter the Kingdom of Heaven? Or will you hold on to your past, possessions, and people who do not walk in the light of Christ.
Revelation 3:14-22
14 To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Originatore of God’s creation.
15 I know your deeds; you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were one or the other! 16 So because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to vomit you out of My mouth!
17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have grown wealthy and need nothing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, white garments so that you may be clothed and your shameful nakedness not exposed, and salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19 Those I love, I rebuke and discipline. Therefore be earnest and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me. 21To the one who overcomes, I will grant the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
