One Day Late Electric Bills and Shut Off Electricity
Costal Electric, ESG, Bidenomics, and BlackRock Fascism
Now, I do not know if this is a Coastal Electric policy, a Mississippi policy, or a post-covid ESG, Bidenomics, and fascism policy, but I am given less than two weeks to pay my electric bills before Coast Electric shuts off my electricity. How do I know? Because my electric bill was due July 3rd, and by July 5th my electricity was cut off by time I got home from the gym at seven thirty in the morning.
This is the class warfare Robert F Kennedy Jr campaigns on. How am I supposed to pay thirty-five dollar shut off fee and thirty-five dollar turn on fee and a thirty-five dollar late fee for a one hundred dollar electric bill? I literally pay more fees for my electric bill than I am paying for electricity.
To make matters worse, in order to become a part of the Coast Electric “collective” we are expected to put three hundred dollars down. So what was the point of my three hundred dollar deposit, if Coast Electric is just going to shut off my electricity?
Aren’t I supposed to be given a thirty day written notice before my electricity is turned off? Aren’t I supposed to be given thirty days to pay an electric bill? How am I expected to pay an electric bill two weeks after my bill was sent or my electricity will be turned off? The same thing happened with my brother’s water bill. When did we stop getting 30 days to pay a bill? When did we stop getting thirty day notices prior to shutting off our water and electricity?
I am beyond poor. I don’t have a car. I can’t find a job with multiple bachelor degrees from The Ohio State University. Everyone keeps telling me that I’m over qualified to wash dishes and flip burgers, but I can’t get a job doing anything else. I guess this is the new normal. I guess this is the ESG. I guess this is Bidenomics. I guess this is BlackRock fascism. I guess I will eat bugs and be happy.
